Yule tide greetings everybody! I’d like to thank you all for making 2019 the busiest and most successful year Sew Moore had seen since its inception just over 5 years ago! I’d also like to give a special mention to just a few of our amazing stitch witches – those who have made the most fantastic progress, achieving great result with their first projects – so well done to Zubeda Begum, Kim Wenzel, Shirley White, Sally Norton and Naz Johnson, for going from absolute beginner to dressmaker in just six weeks! Amazing progress and super outcomes! Also Katie Walden, Sophie Seden and Diane Mckenna – our industrious trio who went from novices to expert quilt and hoodie makers over two courses with fabulous results! Caron Cour came to us with a background in upholstery and is now a proficient dressmaker and working on her machine embroidery skills to enhance her furnishing projects. There is just no stopping Caron. Adele Norman and Natalie Wildman for sheer tenacity, can do attitude and productivity! Jen McIntosh who threw herself right in at the deep end, with a challenging period style dress, which she has has persevered with since April, and learned SEW much on the way. Nearly there Jen! Jen also completed the Beginners and Advanced pattern Drafting courses! More strings to her bow! And last but not least, Lillie Winterbottom for persevering with that quilted Hanten. Oh my word, that was a lot of work! Happily, the outcome was worth the toil!
I may have missed some others. It has been so busy, and to be honest, everyone has been amazing! It has confirmed my belief that folk who sew really are the very best of folk! It has been an absolute pleasure!
We are have also been very fortunate towards the latter part of the year, to have the help of the wonderful Lynne McGhee, our assistant tutor at the Monday class. Monday coven, you will be seeing a lot more of Lynne in the future! I am so grateful for Lyne’s assistance and expertise, as well as her good company!
Have yourselves and wonderful festive period and a fantastic new year! Looking forward to seeing many of you again in 2020, when there will be some new and different workshops on offer! Keep your eye on the Sew Moore news! Love and Best wishes, Bex XXX
